There is this question that hangs above each woman’s head. And it is about choosing between your social and work life as a wife. However, not everything has to be so black and white because, with good organization, you can achieve to have it all.
Have a planner
When you have to juggle between social, work, and housewife life, it can become pretty stressful. Having a planner, where you will write down all your obligations is a good idea because it helps you feel in control, and it is easier when you cross things off your checklist. The other benefit is that you won’t forget about important business meetings, dinners with your girlfriends, or movie time with your family. So, everybody will be satisfied.
Learn to multitask
There is no getting around it. When you are an adult, you have to learn to multitask. It will save you time, and help you get everything done. Plus, it has its benefits, as it keeps your brain active and focused at all times. One of the advantages of being a busy, working wife living in a big city is that you can easily find a coin laundry in Sydney or any other city, and have your family laundry done in 30 minutes. During that time, you can bring your laptop and answer emails, since they have free wi-fi service, or you can plan your to-do list for the next few days. So, multitasking is actually very beneficial.
Learn to relax
Who says that wives can’t relax after they come home from work, but have to do house chores? A part of a healthy relationship you want to create is to delegate, and not make each other feel guilty about it. There is nothing wrong with leaving the dishes for your husband if you want to go out and spend some time with your friends. Make a schedule and stick to it, so that you have your days in the week, and he has his. This way, you will have more than enough time during the busy work week to pay some attention to friends, family, and work. Use this time to go to the movies, for a walk, or book a spa treatment.
It’s very easy to lose focus, and get overwhelmed by all the daily activities. This is why, you should try your best and learn how to stay focused, but also know your limits. Some days may need to be work-only, while others can combine your friends and family, or love life. To feel like you have it all under control and feel that all those parts of your life are blooming, you should try to stay focused. Don’t let anything else distract you from what you are doing. Because when one aspect of our lives dominates, we can’t truly be happy and say that we manage it all that well.
Don’t distance yourself
Everyone loves to spend time alone occasionally. However, communication is maybe the most important way to achieve that balance. If you need space or attention, if you miss someone, if you are having a hard time, or you are happy, communicate and let those people know. Even if you are not 100% dedicated to them, it will still nurture your relationship and show that you care. The same goes for work, where you will spare yourself a lot of stress if you just say what’s on your mind so that you can leave those thoughts right where they belong – at the workplace.
Reaching a balance between all the aspects of your life is what happiness is all about. And you can be one step closer to it by following some of these steps and incorporating them into your busy daily routine.
